A new batch of previously unseen promo photos of popstar-turned-actress Christina Aguilera have made their way to the Internets and they are … interesting … to say the least. The photos were shot by Andrew Macpherson and feature a relatively fresh-faced Xtina. The pics are worth checking out, especially since Xtina is not wearing her garish trademark red lipstick.

Thank the sweet baby Jebus that Macpherson got Xtina to pose without all the red lipstick. I think she looks a million times better when her make-up is light. To be honest, some of these photos are cheesy as Hell … but they’re not bad. Macpherson photographed some of the promo photos for Burlesque (including the official movie poster) as well as shoots for Natalie Portman, P!nk, Britney Spears and others. These photos are fun … playful … and much better than many of Xtina‘s other promo photos. What do y’all think … do you like?

A paparazzo by the name of Willem Pieterson has accused Australian country singer Keith Urban of going on the attack. Get the latest here on Urban’s run in last Wednesday in Nashville. Out and about having dinner with his actress wife, Nicole Kidman, in Nashville, Tennessee last Wednesday, Keith Urban allegedly became angry after a photographer, Willem Pieterson, began snapping pictures of the two celebrities as they were leaving a restaurant by the name of Giovanni’s. In a statement issued by Don Aaron of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department to Gossip Cop, Urban (per Pieterson’s filed report) got into his car with Nicole Kidman and then proceeded to pull up to the photographer’s “vehicle in the wrong lane. Pieterson alleges that Urban yelled at him, and banged on his window” before getting out and then banging on Pieterson’s “car with his fist and kicked the rear passenger door.” The Nashville Police did however check out the paparazzi’s car and “observed that it was not damaged.” After reportedly going crazy on Pieterson’s vehicle you would think there would be some visible marks? We had a lot of trepidations about seeing Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway. We had heard so much bad buzz and the show was so fraught with real-life drama, but saw it on Saturday night and....

It was one of the most dazzling theatrical experiences we have ever seen!

And, most of that, we think, can be attributed to the bold and inspired work of Julie Taymor, who also helmed Disney's groundbreaking Lion King stage musical.

EVERYTHING about Spider-Man worked! The music, from Bono and U2, was so beautiful and varied. It was nuanced, passionate, fun and meaningful!

The performances, especially that of Patrick Page as the Green Goblin, were great!

The sets were breathtaking! The stunts were jaw-dropping! The costumes were clever!

But, most importantly, the show was not campy or silly. It had a sense of gravitas. We bought into this world and FELT for the title character.

Plus, Spider-Man gave us a little bit of everything! It had action, romance, drama, science fiction and even comedy!

It was so spectacular!!!!

Can't recommend it enough!!!

The only problem with the show???? It seems like it would be impossible to take on the road and tour the Broadway production!

David and I completed the last leg of our 5 Year Anniversary trip and safely arrived back home here in LA last night. We were able to enjoy a nice brunch with David’s sister Eden before we jetted off and then … we were home again.

Altho we had a FANTASTIC time in Berlin, I think we were a bit relieved to be home again … if only for the fact that we could unpack after being 3 weeks away. The weather is warm, the sun in shining, it’s great to back in LA. I foresee a lot of relaxing in the coming days but tonight I am heading out to the Mayan Theater to see Peter Murphy live in concert. My advice on this is simple. Do not try to run when you are learning to walk. I have seen this many times, and, to be honest, I did it in a minor way myself. Do not be pushing your songs about when you are not yet capable. A lot of people I know have looked up to someone and have sent their track or played their track to more accomplished friends before they were ready. There is not good outcome from this really.
